Program
Course: Exploring Probability and Statistics: Practical Tools for High School Students
Professor: John Barrera
In this workshop, basic concepts of descriptive statistics and their usefulness for data-driven decision-making will be reviewed. Then, basic concepts of classical probabilities will be covered, followed by the study of binomial and normal random variables.
Speech: Multidrug Interaction, a Mathematical Perspective
Professor: Dra. Soledad Torres
Drug interactions refer to changes in how a medication works in the body when taken with other medicines. In this speech, we show how mathematics contributes to modeling drug interactions to understand the interaction of three drugs based on two.
This work is part of the FONDEF ID23I10401 project in collaboration with PUC-UAI
Speech: Graphs. Networks, Structures, and Colors
Professor: Dr. Daniel Quiroz
this talk, we will explore graphs, which are mathematical structures that can be used to address problems in networks: electrical networks, social networks, etc. We will discuss the topic of "graph coloring," which may initially seem like a children's game but hides unexpected complexities.
Talks by INGEMAT-UV Students.
Students from our program will share their experiences with basic internships, professional internships, and thesis projects they have developed throughout their studies.
